Hotel is not a 5 star. Maybe a 4 star if that. Food was mediocre, rooms smelled of mold, our room had a leak in the ceiling, our washroom door didn’t close. We had diamond service. Our butlers were great and got us into the specialty restaurants. The Indian restaurant I would have to say was the best. Water park looked like fun but we didn’t use it. Check in was so disorganized. Waited 4 hours for our room. Entertainment was good but seen better at other Royalton resorts. This was our 4th Royalton and the worst.

Had a great time. Lots of dining options - I’d give food 7/10 which I think is great for an all inclusive. Several pools (even outside of diamond club) and didn’t have too much trouble getting chairs each day. Loved the beach!! Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Will go back.

Booking with Royalton Splash through Expedia is key! Expedia has their own separate check-in (didn’t have to wait in the long line with everyone else). We had a separate bracelet that said Expedia so it gave us extra benefits similar to Diamond club without paying for Diamond club. We booked jacuzzi on terrace, which gave us our own butler (we had Lu who is awesome and goes above and beyond to help you at all times!) who made our reservations for us. I told her what time we usually eat dinner, she asked where we want to go, and boom reservation was made! She also contacted me before our trip and asked if I wanted her help with anything-she gave me the number for a safe and cheaper airport transfer than what I found online. The resort has people cleaning all day-so the bathrooms and sidewalks are spotless! Very clean resort! Events/shows every night (catered for kids-but not sure if that was because we were there on Christmas) My kids are 16 and 18 so they were a little old for the Christmas events, but there is bowling, trampoline park, and arcade for the older kids. My kids sat in our hot tub and watched the shows from our balcony 😊 During the day, there are pool events like water aerobics, fun races, water polo, etc. They have a wonderful gym with machines, yoga classes daily, other fitness classes daily like HIIT, Bootcamp, etc. They also have a spot for CrossFit. This is a great place I highly recommend! Booking through Expedia is the best way to go too!
