This was our 3rd time at Marina El Cid. The last time was 2013 and much has changed. The addition of Ventus and Ventus Ha was nice as it provided additional eateries and pools. Our main gripes had to do mostly with the rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. They were very poorly appointed. The coffee pots were very small and the attached Jr suite lacked a good place to even plug the coffee maker in. It had to be set on the floor or the bathroom vanity. There was zero silverware. The rooms smelled musty and the a/c in the larger room had a hard time keeping up even though we only had the slider open to set wet suit out to dry. But they were clean. The food was "OK." Thank goodness for the adult only pool as the family jacuzzi was constantly full of children who spilled drinks into the water and had little supervision. It is not a resort we'll revisit and there are just too many other good all-inclusives to choose from. But for the price, it is a decent resort with many amenities and lots of activities for families.

This is our second visit to El Cid, we love the atmosphere, the staff is so friendly, the food was amazing, shows and events each day. There’s so much to do. We loved it!

This resort was nothing short of spectacular. It is part of three resorts. The resorts are a tropical paradise nestled right on the beach. We upgraded (for a fee) from a family room at Hotel Marina El Cid to a one bedroom suite at the Ventus to take advantage of a more spacious, comfortable environment for our family. The room was impeccably clean and the double balcony offered fantastic views of the infinite pool and the turquoise ocean as far as the eye could see. The dining options were fantastic. The all inclusive aspect allowed us to enjoy a number of buffet restaurants, a cafe, and a cafeteria style restaurant. They also offered a number of other restaurants such as Japanese, Italian, French and American. The service at all the restaurants was top notch with staff always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The resorts offered a wide range of activities for the entire family. Pools, cabanas, jacuzzis, adult areas, kids club and a teen club. There was a fully equipped fitness centre where spin bikes and treadmills overlooked the beach. There were different themes and events every night around the resorts. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation.

Staff was friendly, great for families. Kids were 8 and 11 and had a blast in the big pool. Lots of lounging spots around the pool. The beach was ok, not much of it. . Easy walks to sister resorts- booking a la cartès were a bit difficult- the times were inconvinient even when booked 2 days in advanced as they advised. We enjoyed our stay.

The staffs were amazing, their service was outstanding. Food is really good. Not a good beach, but it was ok. Overall experience with this Resort was outstanding.

it was my first time at an all inclusive hotel in Mexico, and it was so worth it! all you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, BUT dinner you NEED to make reservations! if you're going here, ask for the welcome shots, they give you different shots every time until you tap out! very nice people, but if you're renting a car from the airport, be wary, they be scamming!!!!!!!! you'll get a car for like 300 for 6 days but then insurance is like 600?! makes no sense!! get a rental outside the airport.

Main lobby too noisy , need better acoustics . And bar area very poor design dangerous when getting up from the chairs !
