Overall the place was very quiet for such a older home. The library was a neat room it's just small and not as functional as other rooms.

Great stay. Staff was amazing. Cookies were delicious. It’s a100 yr old house so a novelty but also realize walls are thin and some may be honeymooning while others are just wanting to sleep….In our room it stated there was a shower but it actually was a fantastic bathtub with a “shower nozzle” so I would not say it was a shower. Breakfast was a “grab and go” continental. Enjoyed our 2 night stay.

It was a great location. At this time they weren't serving breakfast which would explain the deep discount on the nightly room rate. Also, we never saw a single staff person, check in and check out was done automatically. The room, called the secret garden, was nice. It has a huge jetted tub in it, but no shower.

Cutest “mansion” ever. It is a throw back to the 1800s, and the Secret Garden room (my room) transported me to that period. Not everything is perfect but totally doable. The cuteness factor of the Hines Mansion is off the chart. It has an under the stairway Harry Potter room (don’t think it’s a real room, however), and there’s a gargoyle on top of the building, guarding it.

This is a one-of-a-kind place. The staff is super friendly and the mansion itself is a joy. The room I booked had a spiral staircase leading up to the bathtub and the bathroom was hidden behind the bookshelf. All very cool. The only downside was that there was a tub, but no shower. Very little complain about here. A fun stay.

Posted 1 Sep 2024 on HotelsWe love going to bed and breakfasts, but when we found out this one had turned into a no breakfast no service place it became the worst one we have been to. The room was very cold and it was August. We had to go purchase a blanket for the second night. The blanket on the bed is a very thin quilt. The continental breakfast they did have was worse than a hotel breakfast. I do not recommend as they are trying to run it like an airbnb, bit without having the entire place to yourself.
