"We really enjoyed it! Easy to find. Easy check in. Pool right out our 2 bdrm ‘villa’. Great outdoor seating area. Quiet. Lovely dogs and I miss them! Kitchen could have more utensils, oven mitts, small plates, small bowls,better microwave, kettle, things like that but it was fine. Had to pay extra for use of a bbq even though we brought our own charcoal. Pool was lovely. We found great restaurants near by. Easy to get to highways. Try the ceviche place near by. "

"The manager and staffs are really not good. My reservation is one bedroom apartment,they put a lot of Dimethyl sulfate in the apartment.Then they gave me a two bedroom apartment (because they can poison me from upstairs and downstairs,they can pour formic acid in water tank).They put formic acid and toxic chemicals on stove,put pesticide in pot,put formic acid in water tank.Every time when I came out they enter my apartment and spray a lot of formic acid (feel like a lot).They still spray formic...

"Carlos is a terrific host who went out of his way to be helpful: arranged our airport pickup and helped in departure, offered to move us to a different room if street noise (he's near Merida's main plaza downtown) bothered us, had lots of helpful advice. And did everything with cheerful charm and in pretty good English! All in all, a good place, good price, lots of nearby attractions in an exciting city."

"A solid choice for “budget” accommodation in Progreso. Everything is expensive in Progreso. Decent location, quiet at night. Rooms are clean, plain, comfy beds, tv if you want it. New efficient aircon & a ceiling fan. One of the best wifi services we’ve had anywhere. Nice, small pool although we didn’t use it, no loungers. Daily housekeeping. "When I first saw the building from the outside, my impression was that it could be a simple hotel, but when I got to know the whole interior, I was very surprised. Everything is very well balanced: comfort, tranquility, friendliness, cleanliness and ecology. Excellent place, thanks to all the employees."

Beautiful restful hotel across from Progreso Beach

"Very enjoyable stay, room was very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had a very convenient room on the first floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some spoke English, so this helps a lot. The only minor problem was slow speed internet for the TV. This was our second year to stay at this location. Nice rooftop pool, and lovely view of the beach across the street. Close to lots of restaurants, as well as the one on site. They held our luggage at the desk, and let us use their beach towels, so we could still enjoy the beach until our ride came later in the afternoon. They are very helpful. "

"Good hotel and in a good location. It's not the most chic or modern in terms of interior and furniture, but the service was very good when needed and the room was perfectly comfortable for our needs. The pool is nice, too. I'd say this Holiday Inn represents great value compared to other hotels in the area. "
