Two towels. That's all I asked for. We arrived Sunday, and the instructions were that if we needed a change in towels we would have to request the day prior (which was Tuesday). OK fine. But really is it too much to ask for if we missed the request by a day? We stayed an entire week, and instead of ensuring guests were completely satisfied we were told there would be no towel change. The staff only communicated by text which seemed impersonal. We expected more from a top rated resort property. Instead, resort polices were used as barriers to enforce soft rules that could easily be solved through simple accommodation. We will take our business elsewhere next time we visit Kauai. So much for the Aloha experience.

The condo had no air conditioning. Considerable noise from the pool area in the evening (? after 10PM?)

The ambiance, the scenery, location, accessible to beaches. Insects and cockroaches.

I was only at the Makia Club resort for three days in a 1-bedroom condo and maintenance had to come in twice, once to fix the safe and the other because the washing machine did not work. The walls are also very thin, and you can really hear your neighbors. But the front desk people were very nice and informative when I asked them questions about the area, etc.. Overall, I had a pleasant three day stay.
