Great amenities and food, not so friendly though
Posted 21 Aug 2019 on HotelsNot super friendly, got welcomed through an intercom, which i find a bit cold, and again at the check out, very not caring/service oriented. But maybe im a bit sensitiv, as one who sleeps in hotels more then a week per month, i got spoiled.

Thanks for your information. Sorry about the intercom. We only have 8 rooms and are a family company, so the intercom is very useful for us in order to open the reception when needed. Just tell the breakfast service next time when you want to check out - they will manage it directly and individual. Yours Harald Wörner

Lovely property- but no shops or food outlets open within a reasonable distance.
Minibar should be extended into snacks to compensate. Very isolated.

Thanks for your message. Next time we will have more snacks. There is a petrol station 100 meters away, but only opened until 7 o clock. Next shops are 7 km away. But just tell us a day befor arrival - than we can organize your wishes. And from wednesday until sunday our restaurant is open - our cook has always a lot of things - also with roomservice. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Schade für diesen wenigen Punkte. Ich habe schon seit einigen Tagen darauf gewartet. Diesem Gast konnte man einfach gar nichts recht machen. Wundert mich direkt dass er ANONYM schreibt. Zum Glück war ich als Chef persönlich da, meinem Personal hätte ich das Verhalten des Gastes sonst fast nicht geglaubt. Ich freue mich auf weitere Gäste, auch internationale Gäste, die unser Ambiente mit nur 8 Zimmern und familliärer Atmosphäre zu schätzen wissen.

Very nice hotel in old castle
We had a very nice stay with our family of four in this old castle. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet. There is a small playground aimed for younger kids. The restaurant is excellent and also serves the somewhat personal breakfast that is prepared for each party.

An extraordinary chateau in a calm location

A Wonderful Stay
Posted 26 Oct 2017 on HotelsWe loved staying in a former castle. Our five and three year old daughters shared the bed with a canopy and felt like true princesses! My wife and I had the pullout bed and it was not very comfortable. The breakfast was great. We would gladly recommend the place to others.

Love Love Love
Posted 2 Oct 2016 on HotelsDuring a 12 day trip across Germany this was easily the BEST schloss I've visited Thanks in part to a beautiful setting and Peter. He was incredibly warm and friendly, even if his English wasn't the best. My only complaint, the water bed. There is a reason these are no longer manufactured. It outdated and incredibly uncomfortable for weary travelers, but I'd stay here again and even sleep on the water bed. It's absolutely stunning and Peter was an amazing Host. Bravo.
