No elevator, outdated and very confusing layout of hotel.

I asked for a room as far away from the ice maker. I was put directly across from the icemaker. They were shortstaffed housekeeping so had no other rooms cleaned and available. A semi-truck was parked outside our window and ran all night. All attempts to move it failed. The staff said they would unplug the ice machine. Still not unplugged by 10:00 that night when I tried to sleep. Failed to do that. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned thoroughly. Failed to do that. Front desk staff, both at check-in and check-out said they would talk to the manager about my complaints and try to at least get a reduction on my bill. That failed too. We will certainly not stay here again.

Dorothy,I'm so sorry you encountered issues during your stay. The Front Desk Agent that checked you in is extremely new to the position and because of that I believe they struggled to accurately communicate the situation. While it is true we were short-staffed in housekeeping the reason you couldn't be moved to a different room is because we were sold out of double queen rooms that night. They should have called a manager being telling you the ice machine could be unplugged, because then they would have never said that. Unplugging one of our ice machines isn't an option because we only have 4 in the entire building. Our Maintenance department made serval attempts to speak with the driver of the semi to get them to move to a different part of the parking lot. I do apologize that they didn't move like they were instructed to do. Normally we can't discount 3rd party reservations but I pulled up your specific reservation and saw that it was your personal card that we charged. I refunded 15% of the room rate back to your visa ending in 1526 today. It will take 5-7 business days to show up in your bank account. I'm truly sorry for the issues during your stay. I hope you will consider staying with us again.
