Room was clean and nice. Spa facilities good but could be larger/more areas as some areas were always full. Steak in restaurant was very dry and overcooked, food overpriced for what it is & small portion sizes for the chicken. Coffee at breakfast had lots of sediment left in the cup 👎. Overall we enjoyed the stay but I don’t think we would return or recommend.

We stayed in the spa hotel, Friday till Sunday. From the moment we checked in, till the moment we checked out the service, attention to detail, politeness and professionalism has been amazing and honestly the best we’ve experienced from a hotel, having stayed at a few 5* hotels. We had paid for dinner allocations throughout our stay but as we had missed our first night due to checking in late, the receptionist made it no problem to swap it to lunch the next day, and also gave us other options to change it towards which is super helpful and appreciated. The cleanliness of our room was 11/10, everything had been cleaned, even the skirting boards, bathrooms in hotels usually have mould or black marks, this was white seals all round, it looked brand new to be honest! Reception called our room to see if our fridge needed topping up or room cleaned, usually it’s a leave your hanger on the door and it’ll be dealt with but this just felt like they couldn’t do enough for you. Every staff member we passed or interacted with was so polite, friendly and smiled, it’s so lovely to see. Food was amazing also in the orangery, spa was beautiful! And with plenty to do, probably in the thermal journey, there’s 10 things to do, rooms to go in! We did have a problem sleeping due to noise from the spa but Kirsty the manager was most apologetic and investigated the matter. She also made things right for us. We will return and will recommend

First class in every respect

Fantastic place - facilities first class and all very organised. All the staff very helpful - especially Les as restaurant manager who was a star turn and made our night. Also Keith who seemed to be everywhere at once. Would definitely go again.

This is my 3rd stay in 3 years. I have to say, for the first time I left a little disappointed. Our room was right next to bar, was noisy till 11.30pm. The drinks and food were expensive and the breakfast was poor, we left hungry. Cold toast, like stone cold. We sent it back. Fruit and yogurt that are separate menu items came as one dish, didn’t eat it. Pancakes came in a bowl soaked in juice, it was a soggy mess, didn’t eat it. Only one small packet of butter each and no one around to ask for more so left. Dinner was good, small portions but tasty, the supplement of £35 is low, prices have gone up on the items but the supplement has stayed the same for years. Couldn’t get near the hot tub on our first day but managed the following morning. Overheard one couple say they had been in it an hour and a half. You are supposed to spend 15 minutes, that’s a bit short but an hour and half is just selfish. Staff in reception and in the spa were nice and helpful but the waiting staff lacked attentiveness and were not friendly at all. Think we will try a different spa break in 2025. unfortunately Ribby doesn’t offer the same value for money as in previous years.
