Reliable hotel in the centre of Preston

Would Not Hesitate to recommend Ashwood Hotel!

Lovely,friendly welcome by the owner of this family run business; which by the way has been established with an excellent reputation for many years. The outside of the hotel was clean and well maintained and safe entry system in place. All communal areas throughout the establishment were bright and spotlessly clean all looking and smelling fresh. Tastefully decorated throughout . The room I had was warm,very clean including the carpet and paintwork and like the foyer/ reception area and the dining room was bright and tastefully decorated. My single bed was very comfortable with clean and fresh bed linen ( white) the TV was modern and of a good size in excellent working order and clean working remote. The room also had plenty of drawers,a spacious and clean white painted wardrobe in which were proper wooden hangers. There was also a full length mirror inside the wardrobe on the door and another on the wall. Very handy bedside locker which matched the table and drawers on which the TV was placed. A tub chair to sit on also. The hospitality tray had plenty of tea bags,coffee and hot chocolate sachets along with the little milk cartons,a clean and good quality kettle ,cup and saucer etc . My shower room ( en suite ) was extremely clean,like elsewhere and had a nice shower,with a modern and clean shower head. Plenty of white,clean and fresh towels and toiletries. Breakfast menu was excellent perfectly cooked or niceContinental.

It was a little dated, but we got what we paid for. I'm not fussy and only stayed overnight, so it sufficed. Lovely owner.
