Great for a one night stay. Sheets seemed very clean and breakfast was a nice thing to have! We ended up driving to the wrong address based on the address sent to us. It took us to someones house 15 min away which was an extra 30 min to our already long travels. The people at the house we ended up at said this happens all the time. The hotel could maybe explain this better or ask goolge to fix this. My husbands Iphone imaps found the address but my samung google maps didnt.

Posted 27 May 2024 on HotelsOverall, we were very pleased with our stay at the Hotel Piaz. We were there for 8 nights, so we had plenty of time to evaluate the property. The location was very convenient to all the main passes of the Dolomites. Since we were there in the shoulder season, there were few restaurants open, so we had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel three nights, and their continental breakfast every morning. The food was excellent, as was our service from Aurora, the head server, who always had a smile on her face and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. If there was one negative, this is an older building, so the walls are quite thin, so anyone in an adjacent room who spoke or played the tv loudly was a nuisance. But the staff were all great people and made our stay as comfortable as possible. If anything, I would recommend staying here midweek and during the off season.

Our room didn't have air conditioning and our window opened to the main road through town which was about 15 meters away. Without AC we wanted our windows open, but the traffic noise was loud. The room was very small for my wife and I and our two teenage boys.

Overall the place was pretty nice with a very friendly staff and a nice breakfast of a period the only downside was that there weren't many restaurants near the property and many restaurants in the city centre of Pizza were closed at the time we were there. The bus stop was literally right outside the door so that was a plus. We came from Bolzano on the 180 bus and should have gotten off at the albergo rizzi stop but went to the last stop in Pera and had to walk back a little ways. The tourism office in the town of Pizza told us which gondolas and chair lifts were open in the area so I recommend that.
