The London Boulevard area of Portsmouth Va. is run down and crime ridden. The Red Roof Inn property I stayed at was shabby in appearance. The first and second floor smelled like bug spray. I killed two roaches in my second floor hotel room. There were stains and cigarette burn holes in my bedding.
The carpeting in the hallways were worn and dirty. I was solicited by prostitutes in the elevator and in the parking lot and the police sirens kept me awake at night.

Weird smell as soon as you walk in the lobby, in the room there were stains on the sheets and strange stains in the shower… counted the minutes down until we checked out the following morning. We got the room as a last minute deal, and the room and hotel certainly matched the low price we paid.
