More Like a 2-Star Family Resort than Luxe
The hotel has an impressive entrance, a big, winding pool, and access to one of the best beaches in Santo Andre, so it appears high-end, but it's actually more like a 2–star, large volume, all-inclusive family-style resort. The interiors are not high-end, the rooms are austere and very sparsely decorated - no chairs, no sofas, no desk, no luggage stands, the floors are tiled with large, institutional-style glossy white tiles, the bathroom tiles are painted over, and the fixtures are old and very basic. Devoid of charm and character. No channels were available on the TV in my room, and the WiFi was choppy. One afternoon, the power went out for several hours, which happens, but they should have offered some type of compensation to the guests, a free drink or something. That is one of the differences between 4–5-star service and 2-star service. As far as the service, it was bare-bones. The front desk staff were aloof, generally not personable, and at times seemed (oddly) distrustful. Some of the waiters were very friendly and efficient, but most of the wait staff appeared overwhelmed and were not very attentive. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good enough, with several options, but the dining rooms are large, and brightly lit, which made me feel as if I were eating at a high-school cafeteria. I do not recommend the hotel for solo or couples.

Incrível! Mas, há pontos de atenção.
O Vila Angatu é lindo, em uma localização privilegiada e todos os funcionários são muito atenciosos, bem treinados e simpáticos. Os pontos de insatisfação foram nosso quarto ter sido “esquecido” pela equipe da limpeza e arrumação de quinta para sexta, por conta do grande movimento no hotel esse dia e também o fato de não haver bicicletas de família disponíveis durante toda a nossa estada, o que frustrou muito minha filha de 5 anos. Outra sugestão, já que o hotel se localiza em uma APA e que vocês invistam em uma coleta seletiva de lixo em todas as áreas do hotel e, inclusive, nos apartamentos. No mais, só tenho a agradecer pelos agradáveis momentos que disfrutei no Vila Angatu.

Ótima opção para descanso no Sul da Bahia
O hotel é belíssimo, com estrutura impecável, quarto grande e confortável com sacada e vista para o jardim, só senti falta de um espelho de corpo inteiro no quarto e frigobar. Na recepção fomos recebidos com água de coco e também deixaram 2 garrafinhas de água no quarto. Os funcionários são muito educados e simpáticos. Café da manhã delicioso com muitas opções de frutas, sucos, tapioca, pães, bolos, sem contar a decoração da mesa que é linda. Jantar a la carte com várias opções no cardápio de entrada, prato principal e sobremesa, ficamos 3 noites e podemos dizer que tudo estava uma delícia. É um hotel para descanso, sem agito, diferente dos resorts da Bahia, mas que vale super a pena a estadia. Foram dias incríveis!!
