No elevator, no dining option other than room service with limited menu. Room was clean but dated. Only 5 channels on the tv and none of them any good. Some broken furniture in room. Breakfast buffet was good. People were nice.

Thank you Duane for taking the time to do a review. This weekend we had a function book out our Restaurant and patio area hence the room service, normally we have a much broader menu available. I apologize for this. We are in the process of updating our TV channels and hopefully on your next visit we will have updated channels. Thank you for the compliments about the staff and breakfast.

Weather was raining the whole day, stayed indoors. Couldn't even go for asswim in the pool.

Great for Families but food needs revamp
Posted 18 Apr 2017 on HotelsThe rooms are fairly comfortable suited for families. The breakfast was not consistent, great one day and average on other days. Wi-Fi was only available in the lounge, Restaurant & bar and not in the rooms which is not acceptable!
The staff are very friendly, courteous and good with children.

We have free WI-Fi in the public areas but we also have ALWAYS-ON throughout the Hotel with Vouchers available at Reception. Great place to relax
Posted 24 Dec 2016 on HotelsWe had an excellent relaxing stay at Umthunzi. Room is spacious and well serviced. The staff go out of their way to assist any requests- especially Esme Jones who assisted on a particular request. Swimming pool was also very well maintained. Beach is a short walk away as well as very close to retaurants and shopping centers. It was an excellent week away and very highly recommended.
