This property is in a great spot, across the road from the beach and a short walk to Main Street. The breakfast was good but the property needs updating. We stayed here years ago but now especially the pool area( broken tiles) and the rooms need a refresh

As new managers we have had several ( over 10 ) tilers look to do work around the pool area and all can not take on the job until early next year! Being so far north it is very challenging to get trades like tilers and pool works! We were just discussing flying somebody in from Brisbane which is obviously cost inhibitive but the bodycorporate and owners would have to agree and understand this is such a nessesity for the hotel. Room upgrades are scheduled as planned and we look forward to your return to experience them next year ! Travel safely, kind regards The Peninsula Team

Loved this place, could've stayed all week.
Brilliant staff, lovely breakfasts, such gorgeous rooms. Pool was a bit cold but the jacuzzi was lovely.

We have also replaced and renewed the complete pool heating system so we can now happily brag that our pool is not only pristine for guests but a warm and cozy 30% for winter water laps ! This is a hidden gem so don't tell too many people! Tucked away with absolute beach front access, it's quiet and convenient. Jojo and Pete the managers are very accommodating and welcoming making sure you have everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The breakfasts are included and are certainly among the best we've had. The eggs Benedict and the scrambled eggs were preceded with a generous fruit plate and who can go by a Fonzie coffee. Keep it quiet but do give it a try!

Fabulous stay on 4 mile beach

We woke up to see the ocean through some palm trees, made some lattes with the espresso maker and milk frother in the room, and just soaked it all in. Our room was lovely - airy, light, lovely bedding. The kitchenette was appreciated, and daily breakfast was delicious. Front desk and dining staff were all so helpful and kind. They arranged a day on the reef with Sailaway - fantastic! Didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely. The hot tub wasn’t very hot - that’s the only suggestion I can come up with. Book this hotel - you won’t regret it!
