Excellent retreat
Posted 5 Feb 2024 on HotelsIt was the perfect three-day respite after a week in KL and before going to Malacca. We had a cottage with a full view of the Malacca Strait that had an excellent breeze going through the entire space. Very comfortable with warm and friendly service.

This is my 3rd time staying in avillion. Will put in point as below:-
1) the property is old lots of maintenance work is needed. Room wifi is weak.
2) The room bedsheet is not clean there are stain. Pillow is too soft. Room toilet needed to repair too. There are ants crawling around
3) restaurant table is old and sticky
4) love the children's friendly hotel vibes
5) the mini zoo is a plus point
6) The friday n sat bar live band is excellent place for relax
7) hotel staff is friendly and try their best to give their best they could.
8) peacock, peahen and rooster walking around the hotel make it so unique point for this resort and love it especially for those which kids

Room is full of ants. Cold water never worked( I reported it, but nothing happened). Black mold in shower. Light by night stand flickering. Maintenance is just horrible. Food was good, staff were nice. Just the bad maintenance which is not expected in a 4 star hotel

a bit rundown but still one of the best place to stay in port dickson due to its uniqueness. hope they can improve on their maintenance after covid

Good and nice experiences during the check in. The property kinda rundown but they have a clean beaches. Pool water a bit cloudy. Floor inside the room a bit dusty with the friendly ant.

Check-in experience - worst! I had 5 nights stay under 3 different bookings. I emailed to the property beforehand to ask combine all the bookings in one room for my convenience because I traveled with a toddler and they acknowledged it. But, upon check-in the staff said no and asked me to move from room to room based on the booking. I went to the check-in counter on the 3rd night for questions as I was not technically check-out from the property. Guess what, the staff asked me why I didn't want to combine the bookings that was too much trouble to move around. I was surprised with them threw me back the question. Ms. Farhana solved the issue and I got to stay in the same room without going through the trouble of moving room to room.
Hotel cleanliness - worst nightmare ever! Check-in counter area dirty and full of lizards poops. Room - they gave me a room with full of birds/animals poops - the deck and the bathroom, ants and bugs everywhere, extremely dirty room, no drinking water provided. They changed me another room with a stunning sunset view but that still not able to offset with the dirtiness, ants crawling everywhere, some unknown black dirt/poop on the desk, Dust and dirty in every corner of the room. At least the bed looks white and not causing allergy on my skin. The AC broken on day 3 and we got power outrage.
This hotel needs a major refurbishment. Not going back for sure. Lastly, they only had 1 bell boy and the security guard did his job for us.
