Worst Stay Ever

I would never recommend this location to anyone
It is not secured, they turn the hot water off so you have to shower in cold water.
I would never stay at this location again.
The reason I stayed was because I am not familiar with Portland and never had anywhere else to stay

This guest had made a booking with us in April 2024, and now in August 4 months later have decided to make an unwarranted complaint about us, this guest booked a room online which when she arrived at the hotel she saw another room that she preferred but this room cost more than the original room that she had booked which was explained to her but she was still unhappy that she had to pay slightly more for a change of room, so this is her grievances with us. all of our premises are fully covered by CCTV and we have 24 hours security on site also there is a police patrol in our area that stops by at nights to make sure everything is okay even though we have never had any problems, and there is always hot water available for guests which is a necessity in most hotels.

I like being right in Port Antonio so this is not for me. The TV hardly ever worked for us to watch Netflix. I think it was because of the wifi. The room was perfect for cooking our own food.

No staff available most of the day. Alot of unsafe doors and windows.

Thank you for your feedback. We do appreciates and take feedbacks seriously because we at Paradise Inn strive to serve better. We’re very sorry to hear that you felt unsafe and that staff was unavailable. We can assure you that we have a 24hour surveillance system in place for guest security. Due to the Coronavirus restrictions; it does sometimes appear that staff is not available, but we can reassure you that we do have staff working 24 hours. Addressing your complaints, sometimes due to the speedy guest turnover, we do occasionally get minor damages to windows and door locks which are over looked. But if a formal complaint is made to front desk and if it was found to be genuine, we would normally upgrade that guest to a room of their choice, at no extra cost. But since you did not make a formal complaint to front desk, in the future if you book with us, there will be a special discount just for you.

The view was good and the staff was very nice. However, the AC did not work, no water pressure and iron board came in pieces. For the price charged, the owner should pay people to stay there. Paradise Inn had very little paradise to talk about.

I am very sorry about your experience with the AC not working, the water pressure, and iron board issue, I have had meetings with the staffs and checked the complaint lodgement book and there is no record of any complaint of this sort, from you or any other guests that was staying at paradise Inn at this time, even though we try our best for guests to have an hassle free stay at Paradise Inn, we do sometimes experience equipment's malfunctioning, and if a guest is not comfortable in a specific room and we find a problem with that room we normally change them to an upgraded room at no extra cost, I do find it strange that a member of staff would give a guest a broken iron board, and no one else complained about the water pressure or AC and the same room was booked the next day, if you remember the name of the staff that gave you the Iron board and you reported the other issues to please let me know, and if in future you have any problem like these at any hotel always ask to speak to the manager.

Property was on the main which is good to acess transportation to and from local areas.

DO NOT STAY HERE !
Posted 15 Feb 2019 on HotelsMy sister and I were supposed to spend our entire stay here. (10 nights) When we first got there, we were put in the wrong room. After a verbal tussle with the front desk clerk, showing him we were telling the truth about reservation he tried to justify the situation, making it seem like he did us a favor and put us in a "better room". It still wasn't we'd booked and planned for. We specifically asked for a balcony, and we were put on the ground level floor. We could hear people walking and talking right by the bed, it was sooo uncomfortable! If it hadn't been so late by the time all this was done, we would've left that night. When we woke up the next morning we just wanted out!! It was so difficult to get a refund. At first we were told that we couldn't receive one, then after we called the POLICE the person with the authority to issue the refund was out of the country and was not answering the phone. When he finally did call back, he was extremely rude and argumentative. Such a disaster!! We will never stay here again. Pleasant staff, horrible management.

Dear Sir,
In response to the anonymous review that you received.we always do our best to please our guests because to us our guests come first.
The first lie is they were not sisters they were partners.
The complainant booked twice and cancelled twice before they actually booked and arrived.
They had booked the leased expensive room at the hotel, when we showed them the rooms that they had booked, they said that they wanted a room with a balcony which was more expensive, but we moved them anyway without any extra charge, and they seemed fairly happy with that room, in the morning they started to complain again about that room so I gave permission for them to be moved again to another room on the second floor at still no extra cost which they refuse and told the staff on duty that it's not the rooms, they want to move to another hotel where they had friends staying, at this stage our cancellation policy was explained to them, which was if you cancel 48 hours before your booking it's a 50% cancellation fee but after that its a 100% cancellation, so in fact if they leave at this stage they were not due to any refund, which was clearly printed on their receipt from Expedia, they were advised to email me as I was not on site at the time, when I received their email I called the office straight away and spoked to them about our cancellation policy, but to come to a happy conclusion I was willing to refund them 50% of their booking fee, which they accepted in principle but wanted the refund there and then which I told them was not possible they would have to come back the next day, they then put a male friend of theirs on the telephone who started to make threats if they did not get the refund right away so the police was called, when the officer arrived he confirmed our cancellation policy to them.
They came back the next and collected their refund.
