No a/c. Very far from town. Long walk to beach. Beautiful view, clean and excellent service.

Would stay here again - easy to get to the "beach"
Posted 27 Jul 2016 on HotelsBest part about this hotel was the management. They were beyond helpful and accommodating. We were on our honeymoon and they welcomed us with a bottle of champagne. They helped us with the language when we had issues and offered for us to catch a ride to dinner with another group that was passing our restaurant. Even though many places aren't open late we were always able to come back and get a drink after dinner.

Fantastic get-away on Ponza
Posted 14 Jun 2016 on HotelsVery wonderful hotel in a quiet area overlooking a bay. Near Le Forna. Away from the main port but the hotel has a driver who will pick you up.

Paradise in Ponza

Pros: BIG plus hotel was on the quiet side of island: up & away from busy port / Hotel had a Wonderful restaurant associated with it / Staff were v.cordial
Cons: nothing - staff did everything to make our stay pleasant - and they DID!
Location: on quiet side of island, nice beaches w/in walking distance, rentals for boats, kayaks, etc easy to access, walking in area beautiful and easy to do
We came to Ponza primarily as I had read in an Italian cooking magazine some years back that Ponza is the Best place in the world to enjoy sea urchin - once there we learned due to regulations - the opportunity to have that delicacy is near non-existent unless out of a can - NO Thank You. That did NOT dull our stay in any way however: the local seafood is exceptional. We had a pleasant beach below us within walking distance where we rented beach chairs and swimming was truly some of the Most inviting I have enjoyed anywhere! It was also fun to be one of the few non-Italians on Ponza as we learned this is where Italians vacation - so the local flavor is unspoiled and authentic. There really was something about Ponza's air and sea that was unique - bordering on fantastic which we learned from a long-time visitor may be due the the mineral content of the volcanic formation of the islands. Even the approach via the nearly hour and 1/2 ferry from Anzio was a treat as we approached the Pontine Islands and reached the port of Ponza - out of a solid hour of Just Sea the cropping of the Pontine Islands was dramatic, beautiful and quaint at once! Sunsets and night skies were spectacular! The side of the island Hotel Villaggio dei Pescatori is situated on is quiet and restful. Most of our days were spent beaching-it. We had wanted to take a little boat to go in & out of the grottoes but the one day we planned to do so the wind did not allow any boats to be out - But is was All Good

Stile ponziano
Posted 14 Jun 2024 on HotelsTutto molto bello e in linea
Con lo stile dell’isola.
Unica pecca mancanza di insonorizzazione nelle camere.
