The staff at this hotel made our stay absolutely incredible! Not only were they helpful in providing restaurant recommendations, but they also helped coordinate a tour around the islands (ask for Pedro), taxis to and from different destinations since we didn't rent a car, and just overall were so friendly that it made our stay extra special.

Hotel is on the waterfront with a great location for walking to pretty much everything. Rooms are nice and clean with good amenities. Carla at the front was very helpful with extending my stay and varying recommendations for food and fishing opportunities. Breakfast is good and staff friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything!

The check-in was great. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The walking path along the water is quite nice given the the road is very busy! The shopping and dining options near the hotel are not varied.

We had a great experience at Hotel Gaivota. It was a really convenient base location to explore Sao Miguel, really clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Lots to do in the immediate area, and the parking garage right across the street was really convenient for us.

We appreciated the help at the front desk. All the staffs were very professional especially Jason. They all are very courteous and helpful. This was a fantastic place to stay if you want a hotel accommodations but space for family. The bedrooms were large as were the bathrooms. The kitchen area was convenient for snacks,drinks and morning breakfast and heating up leftovers. The morning breakfast in the dinning area in the loby was peefect. Be sure to order off the menu too!! The balacony was nice to sit and people watch with a glass of wine or beer that you can buy at the grocery downstairs. Jason at the front desk was patient, helpful and very accommodating to your needs. He always had answers to your questions. Laura was funny, delightful and made the BEST recommendations for local places to eat dinner. The wait staff and cleaning staff were extremely kind and did a great job daily. The location is in the heart of the pier and at the center of local Punta Delgada life. Walk behind the hotel for shopping cafes and sightseeing traditional cobblestone streets. The hotel is only a short drive to numerous beautiful senic places and rural attractions. Get a taste of all that the Azores have to offer with the best choice of places to stay. Overall 5+ stars for a best experience at a hotel/apartment. Do not hesitate to stay here.

This aparthotel was very clean and updated. Staff at front desk were very helpful if you needed something. Breakfast room was nice and food was excellent. We had a two bedroom ocean view which was quiet, clean and had a nice view of the harbor. The sofa bed was sized for small children so they needed to provide us with a rollaway bed for my adult son. Just something to keep in mind as it was not obvious when I booked. The beds in the bedrooms were American doubles, so could not be split into twin beds.
