"Heaven in Sri Lanka. The space is just magical. You'll feel like you're in a private luxury jungle with an incredible view and pool. "Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"The property never got our reservation, so showed up and no one was there. This, however, didn't appear to be Amara's fault. Ana was very apologetic and tried to make the most of it. Property is nice though, but it's more suited for a full rent out than just a couple looking for a get away."

"The hotel has a great view and its garden is connected to the beach. Friendly owner offered nice breakfast everyday. The owner’s friend comes to offer yoga, massage and diving. problem is the narrow and busy street next to it, making the place too noisy to have a relaxing sleep. "

"The property is located in a well kept garden next to a small but beautiful beach. Rooms are well kept and relaxing. The staff are fantastic and always willing to accommodate requests. Food was excellent, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The menu has increased and has a great selection of Western and Asian dishes but is quite expensive."

"We have just returned from a two week stay at this little paradise and can honestly say we loved every second. The villa has everything that you could need, it is safe, well designed, comfortable and clean with a gorgeous outside area that backs directly onto an unspoilt quiet part of the beach. "We loved Dream Villa! It is a beautiful building right in the middle of Galle- you cannot ask for a better location! The room was great, big comfy bed and good a/c. Service was great (we checked in with a young guy who did not speak a lot of English but he was so nice and helpful) and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Dream Villa!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was our first experience at Sri Lanka. The location of Villa Tara at Hikkaduwa city is optimal - in jungle forest but in ten minutes from the beach also. "Overall a really nice, comfortable place to stay. Wait staff, Marlin, and exec chef were friendly and enjoyed our conversations! Breakfast was good, dinner was good, grounds and pool area very well kept. The superior room was spacious, clean, and loved our balcony. Stayed for 2 nights, ate our meals there, lounged poolside for the day, and just had a fantastic leisurely time, which is all we had on our itinerary for Weligama! Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!"

"Phenomenal. Stayed in a lot of top class hotels and this is easily one of the best ever. Amazing rooms staff very nice, pool super and grounds nice too. Hotel breakfast and dinner incredible too. Good variety and catered well for vegetarian (one of the most options I've seen for veggie food). Would come back just to stay in this hotel. Only marginal negative was WiFi was surprisingly patchy and quite slow. Would often disconnect."
