"Rooms were spacious and clean. Being right on the ocean was great. Lot's of food options in the area and during the peak season they have a full bar onsite. Would be nice to stroll down the street with a local brew but this is Massachusetts and they dont allow it. You can burn a fatty but not drink a beer. SMH"

"I booked an overnight stay for my mom and I as a Christmas gift for her, as she had never traveled to Gloucester. We planned a trip to hunt for seaglass and wanted to stay close to Pavilion Beach. SO glad we decided to stay here! John is very warm, welcoming, and conversational. He made us feel at home right away, and even carried my mom's overnight bag upstairs to our room. We stayed in the Manchester room, which had a beautiful view of the beach across the street. The bathroom was super tiny...

The place is impeccably clean and having a continental breakfast ready in the morning was a nice touch to start the day. Staying in the oldest house in Salem was a very cool experience. "

Room space was “tight” but that was communicated clearly before we booked, so no complaints. Just something to be aware of. Lodge was well appointed and had great coffee lounge in the hallway."
