Amazing 2 floor suite, kitchen, heated floors in the bathroom, comfortable bedding, lots of towels and robes provided, museums and centraal station are all within 30 minutes of walking, gorcery store around the corner and coffee shops all around you. The only things I’d knock are the wifi cutting out in the downstairs bedroom whoch caused all my international data to be used while I was asleep, the carpets could use a shampoo’ing, and the QR system is a little picky when it wants to work but they were awesome and answered the phone every time. But overall a great and luxurious feel at an amazing price! Would recommend and definitely come back!

The rooms were very comfortable, and good use of space. Also have all the amenities you would need from An apartment. Location is great. Only downside, WiFi in room 10 at the bottom room does not work and there is no reception.

Acceptable value with quirks

It was completely acceptable if a little quirky. odd room layout and stairs in odd places (getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night was ok, but down a long haul and up stairs). Staff was skeleton, but we knew this going in. Not unhappy with value for the money. Just be aware of the quirks going in.

The space was not very clean - the carpet was very stained and damage was visible throughout the apartment. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and well equipped. We also had to sit and wait for instructions to be emailed to us even beyond the check in time, even though the property was clean and ready for us to use. There is no luggage storage onsite, and the recommended option for storage is all the way across town, which is really inconvenient.

Misleading number of rooms / beds
Posted 22 Jul 2024 on HotelsMy biggest issue with the stay is that we reserved a 2 bedroom suite with 1 king bed in the first room and 2 single beds in the second room. The room we got had 1 kind bed, 1 single bed and a sofa sleeper in the common room. This basically forced us into not having a functional common room. The hotels.com website CLEARLY lists this property has having 2 bedrooms / 1 king and 2 single beds in each room. This is the primary reason we booked at De Jonker and were very disappointed to not have the option we paid for. The onsite person said this configuration does not exist.
The other issue we had is the lack of ability to store our luggage while we waited for check in. It cost us an additonal 25 euro to taxi from the 'sister property' where we were able to store our bags. It was time consuming, costly and very inconvenient. Thankfully, I checked with the properly first to see what the check in process would be, otherwise it would have been twice as expensive and time consuming.

As De Jonker is a self-service loft hotel, some services may differ from traditional hotels. We also regret the inconvenience with luggage storage and will work to improve this. Great value in good location
Posted 14 Jul 2024 on HotelsReally good value for a two bedroom suite in an excellent location by Artis Zoo. Rooms were cosy and comfortable with a small kitchenette and sitting area. Would stay again!
