Lovely stay at the Rosemount hotel in Pitlochry for some November hikes in the Cairngorns. The staff were lovely, in particular Phie was very friendly and attentive for all our breakfast servings. Delicious and hearty breakfast every morning with decent variety.
The room was very cosy with just enough space to dry our wet hiking clothes when we needed. The water pressure in the shower was poor but a good excuse to have a decadent bubble bath!

Always good to know that our guests have been nice and cosy when the weather can be a bit dreich outside. It's sometimes difficult to do our bit to help save the planet and keep our lovely guests warm in winter at the same time:-) This is a major project for us and we are delighted to have been accepted on to a government project for assistance. This will make a big difference to Rosemount's carbon footprint, moving forward. Have a nice'n cosy winter and we hope to see you again, next year

Unfortunately my partner was involved in a car crash on 19 September 2024, so we were unable to travel due her discomfort. Which was really disappointing as we were really looking forward to the leisure break away. Thank you

Room very small. No heating 1st night, moved to other room and heating in en-suite wouldn’t turn off!! Showers just a trickle of water. Bar facilities closed before 9 pm ( think they were short staffed.) Poor choice at breakfast and ran out of what I’d ordered for one morning

John. We didn't do very well for you over the busiest weekend of our year and I apologise for this. As a small business, it is impossible to staff up for events that bowl the town over with uncharacteristically high numbers of visitors. This is becoming a bone of contention in small-sized tourism communities, internationally. We just have to do our very best. It's all that we have in these occasional situations of excessive demand.

Staff were very accommodating. A little disappointed with breakfast. we weren't advised we needed to put a time on the breakfast order that we would arrive in the dinning room, this meant we had one hour to wait till we were served our cooked breakfast. we were all disappointed with the breakfast with the burnt potato scone to half portion of black pudding and haggis.

Hello and thank you for your review. We are so sorry for the confusion over breakfast. Naturally, we need to know what time you wish to eat so that we can cook your breakfast in a timely fashion. This way it arrives fresh at your table. I think you will appreciate that, as a small hotel, it is not possible to have a brigade of chefs cooking to order. We overcome this and manage to drive down food waste by taking informative orders in advance. With respect to Expedia bookings, we find difficulty because we cannot communicate in advance of stay with visitors booking through this source, other than via their own internal messaging system. Our emails containing links to order breakfast don't seem to get through, so we don't receive breakfast orders in the same way as we do for guests booking direct. This inevitably means that expedia guests have to wait a longer when we are extremely busy and because we have to guess the time at which they wish to eat, it is difficult to have the food at precisely the right time to keep it in good condition. There are boxes for room number and time on the manual breakfast orders which were completed by yourselves. If we can do more, please let me know

We are working on remedying this, but find difficulty in the fact that we cannot communicate in advance of stay with visitors booking through Expedia other than via their own internal system. Our emails containing links to order breakfast don't seem to get through, so we don't receive breakfast orders in the same way as we do for guests booking direct. This inevitably means that expedia guests have to wait a little longer when we are extremely busy. We are very determined to drive down food waste, so advance ordering works best for us. Tying in the necessary levels of communication along with this is difficult when we are kept at arms length from our visitors before they arrive, however.

Friendly staff, comfortable spacious rooms and great location. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would happily return.
