Nice quiet area, not a lot of tourists. Plenty of little restaurants, loved how they closed off the street in the evening to put out extra tables.
The parking in front of La Papaya is a bit troublesome. It is paid parking and they say that they offer a daily rate, but the parking meter doesn't seem to allow us to select the daily rate. There is an app that can be downloaded for the parking, but as a traveller, I didn't want to add some other app to my phone. There is free parking a few blocks away (beyond the church) but of course the free parking is in high demand so hard to find.

Nice hotel in Tirrenia area
Posted 17 Aug 2019 on HotelsWe stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It’s a very modest, nice hotel in a very good area where local people live. It’s approximately 5 min walk to the beach. The owner has a deli store next door, so you can buy good food and wine and have dinner in the hotel courtyard. There is no breakfast included.

Beautifl B&B, friendly staff, comfy room
Posted 13 Jun 2017 on HotelsBig room (double bed and two singles), good shower. Breakfast served outside - pastries, cakes, juice, yoghurt and hot drinks. The owner was very friendly and also helped us with our onward travel. Located very close to the coast, restaurants and shops.

Nice stop over near the Port of Pisa

Unfortunately there was no breakfast as we had just missed the end of the season (something that should be mentioned by the hotel as I did not see a note about that when selecting the hotel). Had to wait a bit for check in and check out as there is no central desk and the owner was not immediately available. Room was comfortable and the one night stay was enjoyable.

Nice Hotel, Interesting Area
Posted 28 Mar 2016 on HotelsThe hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and spoke some english. The neighbourhood was nice during the day and you can walk along the bay (there is no real 'beach' area, just rocks). However, My friend and I, being two girls, did not feel safe out side of the hotel at night.

warm hosts, some plumbing issues
Posted 11 Oct 2014 on HotelsThe host owns yhe ice cream store in the next street and a gourmet food shop. Good lo to mid priced restaurants in the area and pretty convenient to Pisa. Hard to find, but everyone in the area knew where we needed to go--to the Gelateria of course! Enjoyed the stay.
