"The Lake Hudson Recreation Area's Dark Sky Park was perfect. The restaurants all used locally only locally sourced foods. The people were very friendly. Easy day trips to Adrian and Hillsdale."

"The owners and staff were very nice and tried to be accommodating; however, they should probably be in another line of work. The motel is a dump. I told the housekeeping lady that I didn’t need any service for the five days I would be staying but “could I just have a couple of extra towels?” She said, “I’m sorry, but we don’t have any extra towels; we can wash the ones you have though, if you like.” “Could I get a couple of water cups for the room?” “ We don’t have any cups, but we have them on order.” “How about Kleenex, could I get some?” “I’m sorry, we don’t have any Kleenex.” In fairness, later, the manager brought me some Kleenex. Again though, everyone was very friendly! The mini fridge and microwave and TV worked well. I found myself standing in water, (slow drain), while showering, but again, in fairness, I didn’t say anything about it. It was inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for."

"The front desk was courteous and friendly. Outside was well maintained, the lobby was clean, and I stayed in a ground floor one queen room. It was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Only very small negatives the parking lot is very small and when I checked in it was 85° outside and the room A/C was completely off. I understand for cost and energy saving purposes but it was very warm in the room and luckily I only had to drop off my luggage before leaving for a meeting so I was able to turn the A/C on and have the room cooler when I returned later on for the evening, otherwise I would have been very uncomfortable trying to unwind after my roadtrip & meeting. "
