It's a nice, quiet, peaceful location. Rooms are huge. Breakfast was light but decent. I would return if the opportunity presents itself.

The overall cleanliness of the property was poor. The views of the Potomac River compensated a little bit for the lack of tidiness.

Room was very run down. For example a shower bar was removed, the wall patched and never painted. The furniture is old, worn and stained. We paid the same price for a suite and a regular room. That made no sense.

Beautiful Location
Posted 19 Aug 2024 on HotelsWe booked this hotel for the location/view, and it did not disappoint. River views on both sides of the hotel with private balconies. It was wonderful having morning coffee on the waterfront!. That said, in the interest of giving an honest review, I will list the pros and cons of this place. Pros: Along with the view, the staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very clean. Cons: Sheets and towels were a bit threadbare. There were scuff marks on some of the room walls. In other words, the place is showing its age a bit. Our room was missing its microwave, and when we asked for one, twice, the staff said they would get one for us, but never did. The free breakfast is very limited, nothing hot. Yet, we would stay again for the balcony on the water.
