This is my review after a 5-day stay. When I first checked in, I got the wrong room. After moving to the correct room style, it looked like it hadn’t really been prepared. The stove was rusty and had unfinished wood laying over top it, there was no cookware or utensils, which I didn’t see mentioned in the booking. I was told it’s being your own cookware. The shower was dirty and when I asked if the front desk could clean it (at their convenience) they said sure and never did. Towels were never refreshed and trash can was never emptied during my stay. There was no hot water during my entire stay; I asked about it twice, the first time they told me it couldn’t be fixed and then I mentioned it again checking out and they said I “should’ve asked sooner”, they have to manually turn it on. During the middle of the night someone tried to enter our room, I asked the front desk if they could check to see if it was just a guest mixup or someone at the property trying to get in, but they never followed up.

The property staff was very kind. The young man accommodated our very very late arrival (2 a.m.) and did so with polite manners and kind service. The downfalls: the property is in need of some renovation, water was ice cold during the night, it sèmes like they turn it off completely at night, so it was impossible to take a shower after a 13 hour drive in snow storms. Also, scary fact, they lock the doors to the réception área at 2 a.m, making it impossible to access the front desk, and even worse: impossible to return inside if you step outside to your vehicle once the place is locked down. That was one scary experience in the middle of the night and winter. It’s the first time I ever came across a completely locked hotel with guests inside… finally, since I reserved a room with two bed and a sofa bed for 5 people, the norm would have been to prepare the bedding for the 5 th person using the sofa bed. However, the room was only made up for 4 people, without any sheets or blankets or pillows for the 5th guest. Retrieving that bedding got me locked outside at 2:30 am in -14 Celsius weather trying to get back to the reception area… while the young man was kind and serviable, we will not be returning to this property.

The bathroom was so dirty. I didn’t even want to take a shower. Couldn’t wait to get out of there in the morning.
