Everything was good, except the air conditioning, which never worked properly. We did not like waking up in a pool of sweat when the AC was on its highest (coldest) setting.

It’s in a safe quiet location very close to Victoria station which made getting around very convenient. The hotel is clean, daily maid service as well as 24hrs front desk service. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The room itself is extremely small but functional. Things that SHOULD be added: extra hangers in wardrobe since there is no closet, few coat hooks on the wall behind the door, and a mini fridge. A proper mattress cover and/or fitted sheet would have been nice as well. Generally speaking we had a very nice stay and I would definitely recommend to those traveling on a budget.

Good location, friendly on arrival although took a while to check in due to reception being on a phone call (later discovered this was an internal Manager calling, which in my opinion the call could have been ended to check us in and resume afterwards, save us waiting around). Facilities fine, although it was difficult to get cold water from sink faucet. The shower riser rail wouldn’t move, so was stuck a bit low, however shower pressure was good. Asked for extra pillows and got this with no quibble which was great. Room had air con which was needed that weekend as it was warm, and it worked very well. TV was pretty standard, would have been good to take a fire stick as it wasn’t a smart tv so pretty limited with channel selection (and some channels didn’t work).

Overall it's a good choice second tier boutique hotel, at a fair price for central London. *Refurbished rooms are pretty good quality, albeit right for space as you'd expect *There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up stairs (several flights to top) *Location is pretty good for Victoria - plenty of cafes and coffee shops nearby *No mini-fridge in room is a disappointment *Rooms in basement have no windows *Mattress was very comfortable
