Stay on 7 on Oakleigh Avenue
Posted 29 Jun 2018Checked in afternoon, rang bell several times without any attention until approached the security who came and helped ring it to our success. No hassles with check in. Self catering amenities well placed. Couch looked and felt on the body very worn out. If it were my business i would by a new one ASAP. A big turn off..not VALUE for money. Main bedroom..wonderful big bed

Dear Masothole
Thank you for your comments. We value feedback from our guests.
I am a little confused as I have already responded to a different review from you but will respond again as follows:
I am sorry that you had a problem contacting us when you arrived at the gate. As you can appreciate, security is important to us so our gate is always closed. Our normal procedure is to send guests a message with our contact numbers so they can phone us on arrival and we can open the gate for them. However your booking was a last minute booking and you arrived 5 minutes after the confirmation came through to us so we did not have time to send you a message. We do have an intercom system at the gate and the office is marked and our contact numbers are also on our signage.
As to the sleeper couch, it is only 3 months old and we have had no complaints from other families that have used it. I will however take your comments up with the manufacturer as it was a very expensive sleeper couch and is rated for people up to 125kg's, which is much more than a child's weight. In general, the unit you were in comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children and we note that Expedia only charged you for 1 child and 1 adult, so I am sorry you felt that you did not get value for money.
Kind regards
Adie & Di

Great location
Posted 28 Oct 2016 on HotelsA very comfortable apartment in a beautiful part of Pietermaritzburg with excellent security. I had booked at short-notice but was made to feel very welcome.

Cozy room!
Posted 29 Aug 2016 on HotelsThe room was clean, with a comfortable bed and enough cupboard space!
It is ajoined by a small kitchenet which was sufficient for self catering although the small bar fridge and stove was frustrating at times.
The premises have ample parking, heated pool, braai, and big avo tree!
The hosts are pleasant and we enjoyed our stay, will definitly consider staying here again!
