"This is an amazing hotel with wonderful staff. We had a Deluxe Room with Park View for 3 nights. The room was large, with a vestibule and sitting area with a couch and also had a large bathroom. It was impeccably clean and well appointed, and included turn down service each evening. The lobby is big and beautiful and the included breakfast had a huge variety of dishes to meet just about anyone's needs. "FIRST. Do not follow google maps. It takes you to a private road with gates. Continue on A2 till you see the hotel sign. The hotel is in a residential planned community around a lake. There is nothing within a 30 minute drive. The hotel is beautiful but unique. Thatched roofs and twisted staircases. Rooms are well equipped but you can’t stand up because of the low, slanted ceiling. The restaurant food was excellent and the pool and outdoor jacuzzi very nice. "We had a fantastic stay in Grand Poet Hotel. We booked the Deluxe room and we were given room 419, which had a fantastic view over the park and Riga old town. There was plenty of room for 3 people including our son. Room was tastefully decorated and super clean. We utilized the valet parking which was really convenient. Charge was 30 Euros per night. Hotel was walking distance from everything, including all the nice restaurants in the old town.
