An elegant water feature and fountain mark the heart of Piazza Drago, one of Jesolo’s main squares. Here you’ll find two of the tallest towers in the region, with cafés, shops and restaurants at the base. Meet friends beside the central fountains, before exploring some of the town’s main attractions.
Stroll along the square and sit on the terrace beside the water feature. A wooden walkway runs between the fountain and grassy areas. Let your kids run through the water jets that shoot up from the sidewalk.
Head to the northeastern corner of the square for the monument to the military police, featuring an old-fashioned officer with tri-cornered hat and a dying modern police officer with an automatic weapon. It stands on a mini-plaza marked by flags and flowers.
Admire the sleek design of the rocket-like Towers of Piazza Drago, which are 256 feet (78 meters) tall. The glass-covered central section and the cone-shaped tips of the skyscrapers dominate the townscape. The towers contain apartments and a swimming pool for residents, as well as a public structure at the base containing stores and cafés.
Have a meal or dessert at one of the restaurants here. Browse some of the stores for flowers and clothing, among other items. The plaza has a modern feel, having been reconstructed in large part in 2010.
Piazza Drago is a few blocks inland from the beach in the center of the Lido di Jesolo area. Ride a bus to one of the stops on the streets leading away from the plaza or walk east for a few minutes from the Lido di Jesolo bus terminal.
If you choose to drive here, leave your car in one of the spaces around Piazza Drago or in the underground parking lot. See some of the surrounding sights, such as Gommapiuma foam playground, Timecity Jesolo casino, SEA LIFE Aquarium and the beautiful oceanfront beach.
