We were greeted by staff in front of the hotel. As we entered the lobby, we were provided beverages and hand towels to freshen up. The room was spacious and even had a scale for weighing our bags. The staff was responsive in helping us with ground transportation and other needs. It was really a great experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Palace Gate Hotel! Our suite was huge and comfortable, with great views. The common areas are lovely. The staff were all super nice and helpful in the hotel (less so in the restaurant for breakfast). Communication was excellent starting even before our arrival. We would skip the breakfast buffet next time though, since the staff couldn’t care enough to keep hot coffee available, and the supposedly warm food was usually cold. The food selection wasn’t great either. I hear the restaurant is good for dinner though, so it must be run by a different team in the evening.

This hotel is an excellent choice for any visitor willing to explore Phnom Penh. The rooms are spacious, clean and confortable, the hotel is located in the proximity to all the important features of the city, and the staff are very helpful. This would be an excellent choice for any traveler.

Location is near royal palace, 2 parks nearby and seen from balcony, a few famous landmarks within walking distance. Quiet neighbourhood with easy access to transport and restaurants. Security staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious with good air conditioning and lots of hot water. The hotel was very clean inside and outside (staff were always seen cleaning). Strong blast of AC with a jasmine scent as soon as you walk though the main door which is great when you come in from the heat outside. Food from restaurant at the hotel were mediocre though (ordered steak which were so tough to cut/chew). Only complaint would be that they allow prostitutes into the hotel. When coming back to the hotel one evening, I watched as a guest brought a prostitute in, walked by reception, and to the elevator. Reception didn't say anything even though they saw. I ended up in the elevator with them and it was awkward to listen to them talk (there is only 1 elevator and it's very slow).

I loved my experience at the property, phnom penn surprised me how beautiful is all near by walking distance, It’s safe for solo females, Hotel is nice with a beautiful pool. Has interesting views to a next pagoda you can understand more about monks life.
