We had a perfect weekend stay at the Morris House Hotel. The historic house is charming. Our room was a 2 room suite with a terrace overlooking a beautiful courtyard. The location couldn’t be better - just half a block from Washington Square Park. Highly recommended

Great location. Bar/restaurant was great after a day of touring. Recommend the Caesar salad (grilled romaine lettuce with anchovies)
Only downside was a rodent in the attic that was heard each morning around 7:00.

Loved staying in a historic old building filled with antiques. Courtyard garden is a beautiful peaceful escape from city outside. Staff is top notch. Continental breakfast was plentiful with fresh baked goods. Homemade afternoon cookies were delicious. Location and room rate can’t be beat. Restaurant has an amazing brunch. Only thing that could enhance the experience would be a historical tour of the home and a made to order hot breakfast.

The building is historic and beautifully maintained. We were greeted by Jerry who shared some history about the home as he showed us to the room. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable. I love that the original door fixtures were kept in place (modern locks were added). We were able to walk to all the local historic sites and restaurants. A parking garage is directly across the street and we were informed that a discount is given to hotel guests with a validated ticket. We will definitely stay there again!

Morris House Hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. Staff was welcoming from the start with a tour of the house and offered tea and cookies at check in. So much history! We met many other families in the dining hall and the overall atmosphere was very delightful. I will say that the house is old so we did have to play the too hot/too cold game in the shower but overall we will be back the next time we’re in Philadelphia.

We loved the Morris House. It was a quick trip for us in the historic part of Philadelphia so staying in such a charming and historic home turned hotel added so much to our experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was large and comfortable. We especially loved the restaurant attached to the hotel. Our stay was great and we'd definitely return in the future.
