Poor Communication - Read the fine print.

The stay never happened. The place was closed due to a gas leak but they never reached out to inform us of this and we arrived in Philly with no place to stay. Separate from this, in the email confirming my reservation was a link for check-in instructions (in relatively small print) but there was no indication in the main body of the confirmation email that said confirmation was in fact incomplete without filling out additional paperwork in advance. So even if there hadn't been a gas leak and the place was available, I'm still not sure if I would have been able to stay there. I would have expected an automatic refund, but that also did not happen.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Staff was very helpful and attentive! Krissy was very nice and and answered all questions that we had. She made sure that everything was up to par and made sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. They offered free food and even wine to us which was amazing! Our room and bathroom were very clean and had a lot of extra supplies in case we were to forget them at home. Even though the hotel had free street parking, we had an easy time finding a parking spot right in front of the property. The neighborhood that this place was settled in was also very quaint, quiet, and walkable. Never once did this neighborhood made me feel uneasy! I felt very safe in this hotel and will definitely book here again the next time I'm in Philly! - Camille & Steven

The hotel was so cool! The door is a little tricky to unlock but Kurt was very helpful and responsive and walked us through it. The inside was absolutely gorgeous with paintings and antiques all over the place. They made sure to stock our room and even gave us beautiful flowers! We had a wonderful night and can’t wait to come back.
