Hi Bill, After reviewing your recent booking with us made for your son and daughter, as we explained it is hotel policy that we cannot allow minors to stay without their parent or legal guardian present for the duration of their stay with us. We understand your frustration but as a licensed venue we must at all times operate within the guidelines and policies set out by the Racing Gaming & Liquor control, which I'm sure you can appreciate.

This hotel desperately needs updating. The toilet seat is cracked, stained and probably unhygienic. The shower head is placed in a corner and ok for someone small, but not for anyone bigger as there isn't enough room between the two walls to get under it properly. The tap on the wash basin isn't over the basin, so floods the back of it when running water and is also not easy to get a glass of water or fill the kettle. There is no bed side table on one side, although plenty of room for one. The fridge has missing shelves.
However, the staff were amazing and sorted out two issues for us really well and quickly - can't fault them.
Our towels were changed daily so I would like to see a notice, like many hotels, that if you leave your towels on the floor, then they need changing but if they're hing up, then don't. Save the hotel money, and saves water and power at the same time.
It's in a convenient location for what we wanted but we won't stay there again.

Hey Naomi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review.As we are an old hotel (circa 1972) we are forever evolving and our original bathrooms are definitely next on our list! We have never not been highly commended on our cleanliness, hygiene and house keeping staff as a whole and we take a lot of pride in thatHowever we do love the tip about the towels and will definitely look into rolling that out. Next time you stay feel free to make our reception staff aware of any issues as sometimes it's as sample as moving your room types. Warm regards
