Charming cottage at a convenient location
Posted 5 Dec 2019 on HotelsHistorical cottage with Charm. Very spacious and good passive energy concept. However kitchen stove and utensil drawers need to be cleaner. Other areas were clean and comfortable. Bed comfort ok. Reception next door at YHA prison very friendly and helpful. Early checkin was permitted as no occupants the previous night. Interesting to wander arround the YHA dormitory accomodation as they were women prison rooms. Free cereal and bread breakfast together with dormitory guest in the kitchen /dining area. Location pretty convenient as short walk to CAT bus stop and also walking distance to boating harbour

Very quaint rooms and fixtures, nothing like run of the mill hotels. But all the necessities are present.

Historically significant
Posted 3 Sep 2018Old wardens cottage next to Fremantle Prison. Excellent location with parking. Old obviously inside but clean and comfortable with modern touches. Bathroom located at rear with good shower. Beds comfortable. Enjoyed our night in this historic cottage.

This was our first time to stay in colonial cottages. Not bad, we like it, just like HOME.
And surprising the maintenance is good!
