This was our first stop from the highlands on our road trip to Southern Spain. We had dinner which was superb! Every member of staff from reception, Marios the restaurant manager and the lovely sommelier whose name we didn’t catch to the hotel manager Gail were exceptional. Their attention to detail, knowledge, professionalism and interaction with guests is easily 5 star standard. They make you feel like your stay is really important and they will go out of their way to make sure that you have the best possible time while you are there. The location is perfect for dog owners. The grounds are beautiful and spacious for walking. Highly recommended!!

The only place to stay

The best place we have ever stayed with our dogs. The breakfast is excellent. Lovely grounds to walk dogs. We would not stay anywhere else.

Tranquil Setting

The hotel is in a beautiful tranquil setting, with well tended gardens to wander through. Staff were friendly and efficient. We were delighted to see the return of the buffet breakfast, which was well presented and delicious. Some aspects of the hotel are in need of a little refreshment, but overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and we will certainly return.

Very comfortable stay at Ballathie House Hotel! We stayed for two nights, Enjoyed walking the grounds and by the landscaped garden near the River Tay. We also played croquet, and badminton! Our room was comfortable, although a little warm and only one of the windows would stay open. Breakfast was a buffet style and had numerous options! We also dined one night, which was delicious, and also enjoyed whiskey in the bar another night with the very knowledgeable bartender, James, who was a wealth of information, and gave wonderful suggestions based on taste! We enjoyed our stay!

May wife and stayed for one night with our two dogs and had a fabulous break at Ballathie House. From the welcome on arrival, the room, dinner was outstanding and the location superb. A quality hotel offer a true Scottish experience. We are planning to return and this time I will have my fly rod with me. Thanks to the team at Ballathie.
