Although we did not have an evening meal, the food on offer sounded delicious. Breakfast choices however were limited but nicely cooked. Property was a little tired in places but perfectly functional and both the lady who greeted us upon arrival and the cook who served us breakfast were very friendly and welcoming.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are a pub restaurant and offer a full English or continental, i am unsure as to what else you would like.We are a very busy business which does get fully redecorated annually.As i say, thankyou for your feedback

Very friendly , helpful staff. Very nice restaurant with a good menu and very good food. Room a little small and no soap dish in the shower. Would stay again.

The major problem was the discrepancy between expedia booking confirmation (booking in from 1pm), and the property email which I was unaware of, stating the venue is closed until 6pm. Property condition was poor, with quite a smell from the en suite bathroom. The electric shower was very difficult to control. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good.

Dear Maxwell,I apologise that you didn't read the email booking confirmation (that was sent out upon booking) stating that we are closed in the afternoons.I am a little dismayed that you say the property condition was poor..... we are not The Shangri-La at The Shard but a busy country pub restaurant with rooms on the edge of the Cotswolds.As for the shower being difficult to control... i shall look into providing instructions on how to use it.We have hundreds of great reviews on Trip Advisor and i am sorry that we didn't make your unachievable expectations.I am pleased to hear that you found the staff and breakfast up to scratch.Regards

Short stay at the Bell, a refurbished pub / restaurant, whilst we attended a wedding reception. The staff were very welcoming, breakfast was well cooked and very tasty. Our room was a little small, but comfortable and clean

Nice food but awful accommodation

Very friendly and well trained staff and the evening meal was very nice. However, the accommodation was pretty dire. Used the new looking electric shower and was alternately scalded then frozen as the temperature veered wildly from one extreme to the other. My husband gave up and ended up washing his hair in the basin. I know This does happen with a non thermostatic shower but it was an awful experience. When we quietly told the landlady she really didn’t look like she believed us and completely forgot to apologise. If it was me and my customer had that experience I would be mortified and apologetic. Sadly, the room was super hot and when we opened the windows we were kept awake by the road and train noise. Had about 4 hours sleep I suppose. The room really let the place down.

I did get the distinct feeling that you were waiting for me to financially reimburse you in some way (your whisper of "don't worry we are not trip advisor sort of people if looked after") was what led me to that conclusion.My apologies that the room temperature was not to your liking, we are a pub with rooms so again my apologies that the road and train line are not suitably located for you.Our double room is the most cost effective choice but does reflect in its price of 75 for two people including breakfast.Assuring you of our best attention on a future visit should you so wish, our plumber has checked the shower and no problem foundKind Regards
