This medieval village was a highlight of our trip. The hotel was excellent as was the restaurant which served wonderful French cuisine. Highly recommend this hotel and Pérouges.

Wonderful Historic Town
Posted 25 Feb 2023 on Hotels We had a wonderful stay in the historic town of Perouges. We loved it BUT people should be aware you are in a historic property built in the 15th century.
But I doubt the original owners had heated towel rocks or plentiful hot water. What a great place!!

Mobility issues. interesting town
Posted 8 Dec 2019 on HotelsWarning ! if you have any difficulty in walking over rough terrain Perouges is not for you. Though cobbles can often be managed these cobbles are even difficult for those with no mobility problems. Wheel chair or scooter is impossible. Even with a stick would be very difficult. Cobbles are used on all the roads you would want to walk along. I could not walk around and can only go on a small view but it is obviously so interesting. Hostellerie is amazing. We had a room in the square, ground floor as there is not a lift.which was in a medieval building. Wish breakfast had been better it was 17 euros, expensive. One small glass of orange juice. two pieces of bread, butter, jam. two croissants. Awful coffee out of a jug. That was the biggest disappointment and something that does not usually happen in France
