"Plenty of dinner options nearby. The proximity to the Leaning tower of Pisa was impeccable and front row view of it. Loved the location. "

"The hotel was good and the location was excellent, a few minutes away from the tower. I arrived at 1plus pm, however it was closed and had to wait till 3pm to be checked in. The checked in was smooth and the staff was great. It would be great if the reception is open from 1pm to 3pm. The room was big and great, however O only have one complaint, the tv was ridiculously small to my liking. Overall my stay was excellent!"

"This charming, perfectly located hotel has well appointed rooms, a lovely, caring staff and a wonderful breakfast to start the day. Located on Via Fillunga, you are in the heart of Lucca. Dolce Marta and Dolce Ingrid are a delight - helpful, kind, fun and both speak excellent English. I loved staying at this wonderful hotel."

The beach was also closed so it was difficult to sunbath, which my wife likes to do other than sitting on a chair. When we complained about this we were told that the season closes on the 15th of September, We were no aware of this, if we were we would not have booked it. Also there were no supermarkets within walking distance the nearest was about at 5 kilometres away, so...

"Overall is a nice stay with few points that are lacking that affects the comfort of staying there. 1. Heating is turned off around 11pm thus you will feel cold if you are not asleep by then. 2. Hotwater not consistent, the water might turn cold for a moment when you are showering. 3. "Amazing "

"The Toscana village is great - so relaxing. The long stay owners are very friendly and helpful, as are the staff. The onsite bar/restaurant is good, as is the pool. There is a local town in easy walking distance with many old buildings, nice bars, and places to eat. On Saturdays there is a food market, so you can stock up on salads, fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses, etc. We can't wait to go back."

"Hotel Ilaria is a lovely hotel in the cute town of Lucca. It is quiet, clean and comfortable with a perfect location for exploring the town. Breakfast was delicious with lots of healthy options in addition to typical Italian pastries. The evening complimentary happy hour was wonderful. I met some lovely fellow travelers and had a great time. The best part of the hotel is the staff. The young man at the front desk was extremely kind and welcoming. He helped me purchase tickets to an evening of opera as part of the Puccini festival. It was wonderful. This one staff member (apologies that I didn’t write down his name) made my stay extra special with his kindness. And he looked great in the green hotel uniform suit (as did the young woman too). Thank you for making me feel that hotel Ilaria in Lucca was my home away from home. "
