"We had the best time at Serendipity Lake house. Chathuranga was warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, and the food is delicious. "This hotel is a big con / rip off. THERE IS NO ROAD TO THIS PROPERTY. Must cross the jungle for 1/2 kilometers Don’t pick unless u have a Motorcross bike. "So unique from any hotel I have stayed out. Colonial building with only 10 rooms, right next to Fort wall. Staff lovely and friendly, included breakfast was great with fruit, juice, yoghurt and also hot with sausages, bacon etc. Can have delivered privately to your balcony or in courtyard. Easy access into Galle to walk around. Lots to explore and so much character. Great spot "

Excellent Food/Setting and Accomodations

"Excellent/wonderful. Beautiful facility/setting and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was the best I had in all of Sri Lanka. The dinner choices were wide ranging an excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water. About a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride to the Fort. Highly recommend. "

Hospitality at its best in a world class resort

"The property is in an incredible location with breathtaking views. Even though it’s on a public beach, it still felt super exclusive and private. The staff were absolutely amazing at making us feel welcome and taking care of us. The hospitality was top-notch fromthe duty manager, to every single staff member, including the restaurant staff who went above and beyond to pamper us. One of the chefs, was incredible. They made dishes that weren’t even on the menu, and they tasted way better than anything I’ve ever had before. In the end, they were the friendliest and most hospitable staff we’ve ever had, and they made our stay absolutely incredible."

"Enjoyed my stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is nice but the rooms are a bit dated. I would consider this a 4 not 5 star hotel. Special shout-out to Subhadra who was fantastic from housekeeping my entire staff. Definitely a highlight. Would recommend this hotel. "
