A lovely stay!
Posted 6 Apr 2018My brother and I got my parents the Easter long weekend up here for their Christmas present and they just came home raving about how amazing it was. The room was well stocked, the staff were lovely, the views were beautiful (my dad described being able to see the moon rise as the sun set because they could see all the way to the horizon). My parents are very well travelled people, but my mum sent me a text telling me it was possibly the best place they’ve ever stayed. Thank you to the lovey team at mt avoca for giving my parents such a lovely stay! I wouldn’t be surprised if they were back the next time they can get away.

Take a real break.

Pros: More a retreat than a hotel. Comfortable, clean, all necessary modern amenities and all set in a rural environment. Laid back and relaxed.
Cons: Hard to see room for improvement on something that was perfect.
Location: Bush walks, wineries to visit, local pub, bakery and rural shopping. Take your time, take your pick and be pleasantly surprised.
An excellent break from the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Surrounded by Australian Native Plants, rolling farm lands and vineyards. Waking each morning to the chorus of native birds, magpies, cockatoos, willy wagtails, finches, lowries and plenty of others. One of the most comfortable king size beds ever slept in. A "just right" doona keeping you warm even when the outside temperature dropped through the October night to 2-3 degrees. A bedroom with an easterly aspect taking advantage of the sunrise. Great bathroom with big shower and spa bath. Spotlessly clean, even the bbq near the entrance. Plenty of options to occupy your time. You can chill out and do nothing, go for walks, visit the nearby wineries or drop into Avoca and try the pies baked fresh at the bakery. Friendly and Helpful, the Mount Avoca Winery/Eco Lodge staff were fantastic. We will return.
