Nice pub with friendly and helpful staff. Room a bit tired but sufficient for a couple of nights. Could do with a breakfast option as dinner was very good. Well situated for our trip to the Minack Theatre only a short drive away. Would return.

Nicola and Elliot were fantastic hosts . Went above and beyond for us let us check in early. Pods were so comfortableand clean. everything you needed in them . Fabulous location near to Penzance not far to walk or bus stop outside. Pub was inviting and friendly. Jack the dog was an added bonus definitely be back.

Lovely owners and friendly staff. Traditional pub food was lovely and freshly cooked. Sadly no breakfast. Pub itself quiet after closing which was early enough. Clean and comfy bed, convenient location. Place was just rather tired (not sure about the pods maybe nicer?). Pub itself fine for a stopover.

We stayed in very new pods which were lovely, though not quite sure what you would do if the weather was not good as there was limited space.

Quaint old building with friendly staff and good food. A little mildew in the bathroom, and not the most comfortable bed are why a less than excellent rating.

We liked being in an old pub building and the large outdoor beer garden with live music. The foyer and stairs up to the rooms were OK but could easily be made more appealing.

Room is clean and large. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Meals are generous. Above a pub.
Stayed 1 night in Apr 2025

6/10

The room was as you would expect in an old pub building but the plumbing pipes were clanking intermittently through the night which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Other than that it was a convenient and cost effective stop over for getting the ferry the next morning. The food was very reasonable too.

the prefabricated building is new and elegant. There is a mini-bar that I did not find in the 3/4 star hotels where I stayed in my tour of the southwest. The bathroom tablecloths are excellent. The mattress on the side of the double bed where you get up is very uncomfortable because the mattress is not turned to make it uniform so you have to sleep badly on a sort of slope. There is no air conditioning and strangely also an air recirculation system. When you return after an excursion you find yourself inside a real oven.
