This hotel was the worst of our trip. The first girl at the desk did change our rooms. the smell of disinfectant in the room was so overpowering it burned our eyes. The bathroom had no toilet paper, the tub was stained, the carpets were old and stained. The bed was usable and appeared clean. We did check for bedbugs. This hotel needs major renovation as it looks and smells worn and beaten up. I was most upset at the price Expedia charged for this hotel compared to all the others we stayed at. You need to change that and their rating.

I researched online for a safe place for my grandson to stay while traveling from Virginia to MA and home to Virginia again to make sure he would be safe. The information on-line said in the state of NJ someone would need to be 18 with a credit card to check in. My grandson stayed at this hotel on his trip to MA. I made the reservation with the front desk. The woman was very helpful. I reserved and paid for his stay on his trip home. 9/27/24. I called to give the front desk my credit card number the way I did on his first overnight stay at this same hotel. The desk clerk Daniel said that he would not check him in. He said in the state of NJ he had to be 21. I was horrified as my grandson was on his way to that hotel. He put the address in his phone. The desk clerk was not even listening to what I had to stay. Frantically I searched for another hotel that would allow my grandson to check in. That was the worst experience! My husband and I travel that way frequently, however I will Never stay at the Hampton Inn in Pennsville, NJ!!!

This property was horrible as was the staff. It was dirty. Floor had not been cleaned. The fridge didn’t work and smelled of mildew. There was no lightbulb in the deck light. We asked the front desk for a bulb and they said they were on back order. There was very little toilet paper on the roll and no other roll in the room. Again, we were told it was in back order. No laundry bag. The bathtub caulk was coming out and was covered with mildew. Breakfast was terrible. Front desk staff was uncaring, non-apologetic, and unable to remedy anything. No idea how this place had the ratings it did. Choose a different place!!
