Absolutely phenomenal surf vacation with claire and Duncan. Could not have asked for nicer hosts or better surf instruction. Don’t expect anything exciting from the town itself, but claire and Duncan will make sure you have a memorable visit.

Great folks provide simple, reliable accommodation
Posted 17 Jul 2016Claire and Duncan are kind, friendly hosts. They also operate a small apartment as an extension of the lodge, so know that depending on availability, you might end up a few minutes up the street in an apartment (we did). But the friendly hostel feel carried over to the apartment, which was very clean and comfortable and had multiple balconies to enjoy the sea air. Would certainly stay again!

Opholdet varede 7 nætter. efter 1. dag var der ikke mere toiletpapir, efter 4 nat fik vi to rene håndklæder på anmodning via mail. Sengetøjet holdt i alle 7 nætter.
Der var en god madras i dobbeltsengen og det dobbelte dynetæppe var stort nok til os to.
Køkkenet fungerede fint, men også her manglede der skift af viskestykker og karklud samt opfyldning af 'tag selv morgenmadsprodukter'.
To flinke værtsfolk - de øjeblikke de var til stede.
Vi var heldige med godt vejr. Eneste rumopvarmning er en lille el/olie varmer, som ville være utilstrækkelig ved lidt lavere temperaturer (februar).
Værelse og bad er pæne, dog er der meget lyt når hoveddøren smækker eller hvis der er gæster der kommer sent hjem om aftenen.
WiFi er ok til mails og beskeder, men har svært ved at følge med til Streaming.
Beliggenheden er god, på den anden side af vejen er der udsigt over det fantastiske Atlanterhavet. Der er cafeer og supermarkeder indenfor gåafstand.

Thankyou for your very nice review lars ,we are happy you had a fantatsic time here in peniche and we are very pleased the weather was splendid for you the whole week ! You mention a lot of positive things which is very nice though I must make it clear to our future guests as we are not a 5 star hotel,there are a few comments I would like to make too ,We are a surf Lodge and we take all our guests surfing everyday as you didnt come to surf you would not see us that much usually most couples want to be left to do their own thing if they do not join us I go there evryday to Clean and refresh the bathrooms and the kitchens andthe breakfast ,tea and coffee and when I saw you I told you where to find the toilet paper and teatowels and then gave you fresh bathtowels half way through your stay ;I change to fresh sheets after 7 days ,Also the heater is quite big and enough for the room size, we are a shared house and people will walk through the front door but we have very respectable guests and have a strict rule to respect eachother while sleeping ,Thankyou for coming to stay and making these points so I can make them a even clearer to help our future guests really know us and what we do .

Perfekt für einen Surfurlaub. Claire und Dublin organisieren alles (Transport, Ausstattung, Camp am Strand). Sehr angenehm und einfach.
