I already have a claim disputing the charge. I did not stay here due to how bad the room smelled. They did nothing to help except give me some spray and said I’m out of luck. The room was one of the worst smells I’ve ever experienced, a straight tuna smell that did not help with trying to air the room out and spray it.

Pretty average rooms. The golf view is nice. Breakfast was kind of cold at 7 am. Everything was clean. The girl at the front desk was great! I wish I caught her name because she even helped me with a question when 2 other employees ignored me standing at the desk. I booked this property specifically because it had a lounge so my spouse and I could enjoy a relaxing weekend away where he could golf and we could have drinks without having to drive. The lounge was closed the whole time we were there. The housekeeping staff came into our room on day 1, took the trash out, made only 1 bed, and left. They say they only do housekeeping every 3rd day unless requested so maybe they made a mistake and left? Then on check-out day (checkout is 11 am), we had packed our bags the night before and put a do not disturb sign on our door so that we could sleep as much as possible before making a several-hour drive home, and housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:40 am waking us all up. Overall the stay was just ok... I stay at 2-star hotels frequently and I don't expect a bunch of frills and amenities but this was just blah.

Although there were signs on the parking lot, there was no signage on the building. Even the entry doors did not indicate the name of the hotel. The lobby was cluttered, there were cleaning supplies and boxes stacked in the lobby. The front doors had seen better days. Our room was clean and quiet and felt safe. The woman at the front desk was very helpful, polite, and helpful. She was reassuring.

Avoid at all costs!
This is a run down, poorly maintained hotel, with owners who have evidently decided to maximize profits via minimizing costs in the short term and possibly sell the facility. Breakfast was so limited I've seen better at Motel 6. The lock on the sliding door to the parking lot was broken so anyone could've walked in the middle of the night. Rooms weren't serviced daily. When I spoke to the receptionist I got the sense that was normal. Room next to mine was occupied by at least two families with at least a dozen children. Peace and quiet was at a premium.

DANGER!! CRIME AREA!
While approaching the motel I noticed lots of low income housing nearby, I asked the desk clerk if I needed to worry about my vehicle and he assured me that "the neighborhood is safe". Well it wasn't, and the attempted break in of my pickup did over $1000 damage, including the windshield, weatherstripping, paint scratched from the top of the cab all the way down the passenger door, and scratched clear through to bare metal. The door frame was also bent from prying to attempt to get a tool inside to pop the unlock button. If your vehicle means anything to you then I suggest finding another motel, or just leave your car doors unlocked so the thieves have easy access. I reported it to the motel and filed a report with the Umatilla Police Department.
