Good location, affordable price...
Posted 12 Aug 2024 on HotelsWe arrived a bit early to drop our bags and go shopping until our room was ready and were surprised to be check in early instead. Staff were happy and friendly. The pics of this hotel might need some updating as it's now looking a bit tired. Room was clean and comfortable however the AC was a bit noisy and struggled to maintain a consistent temperature.

This place is an OK place. I don't have any major bad experience. If you are expecting a fine place similar to a Marriot then that's not it. The room is spacious, the bathroom is what we did not like and it feels old. Our shower had issues with adjusting hot/cold and the hand held fixture was lose. My daughter was feeling sick and she threw up for which we needed new sheets. Called the front office and they said the house keeping was not available. They couldn't even give us new sheets, saying the room was locked and they did not have access to it. The next day our room power went out. We called the front office and they did respond to that. They have a odd rule of holding 1000baht as a security deposit when you check-in in cash. So if you don't have cash before going to this place then you better be prepared to run down to a foreign exchange nearby. They also charge an extra 500 baht if you asks for additional key cards.

The hotel required a $1,000 cash deposit upon check-in, and guests must retain the paper receipt provided in order to reclaim their deposit upon checkout. During my stay, I discovered that the hotel does not have any security measures in place to restrict access to the guest rooms, meaning anyone can walk in and out freely. On one particular night, my room was disturbed at 3 AM by repeated loud banging on the door. I chose not to open it, but the incident left me feeling unsafe and disturbed. Given these issues, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Not bad but not great.

Customer service is good; the staff is friendly and will try accommodating you the best they can. Young staff but proactive.
WiFi was TERRIBLE. I was in a corner room, which ended up being a dead signal space. They need to add additional routers for better and uninterrupted service. (I often had to use the wifi of the hotel next door.) Everywhere else in the hotel, the WiFi was great!
Housekeeping is good but inconsistent. There's always something missing or not done. For example, one time, most everything was done but they didn't restock the coffee and water. Another time, they forgot the pillows. Another, they did everything else but forgot to provide clean cups/glasses. One housekeeper made the bed great, but the other didn't seem to know how to put on a comforter. Very inconsistent.
In-room dining has reasonable options that are priced okay, but why do that when there are eateries EVERYWHERE? And no late night service (ends at 21:30).
Airport taxi on my arrival was reasonably priced (about $20), but on the return they wanted to charge 1200 THB (~$32). (I hired a taxi online for my return; cost less than $20.)
There is a charge for overnight guests but they didn't seem to enforce it (for me, at least).
Summary: Good hotel that could use some TLC and better management/organization, but I'd stay again in a pinch.
