St Regis is a fantastic global collection of hotels. The SR in Deer Valley must be judged in that light. Most of the Hotel Staff were delightful people but many of them were less than “St Regis competent,” particularly the concierge team. I don’t think I’ve ever received so much misinformation from a 5-star concierge team in all my travels. I’ve written to both the GM and to St Regis’ CEO about it. It was like the Keystone Cops. Whomever architected the hotel must have dropped acid beforehand. The flow and the convenience expressed in the floor plan is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. If this sort of thing bothers you, there are plenty of better options in DV. Beds are an acid test for any hotel. If you can’t get a good night’s sleep, nothing else matters. The SR-DV beds in our room were not full queens and obviously had “vintage” mattresses. The hotel grudgingly gave us a refund of $50 per night, valuing our good sleep at $12 per person per night. The front desk manager tried to welsh on the deal upon departure. He was a real a***ole, the only one I met there. If I were the GM, I’d demote him back to trainee. There are many great resort hotels in the Park City area. I’d encourage you to go to any of them but the St Regis.

The staff was wonderful. The butler was helpful. Everything was beautiful and lots of food choices

ew normal problems, but the staff overcame everything and made it perfect. Special shout out to Spencer, who works at the pool; he’s probably one of the hardest working and most personable guys I’ve ever met. The servers were fun, too, singing happy birthday. We had room service that was so personable- she even wrote a handwritten note. To top it off, private dining was teasing me about being sick and suggested I eat some sugar with my breakfast.
