The service of the breakfast, the juice machine was not working and the people there not a good attitude

Affordable and cheerful, simple but nice, a convenient option for fast travellers who just need a bed to rest and keep going. A bit annoying that I booked an individual room (instead of a shared one) and had to still share toilet and shower separately.. it was not clear at the time of booking. Was not stated in the Expedia booking either, so had to put up with that. So if you're booking here mind that can be your case too.. on the other hand really well placed right outside Anvers tube and 8 minutes away from Gard du Nord. So very convenient connection wise.

Really welcoming staff who dealt with a small issue really promptly. Located perfectly with easy walk to lovely bars and restaurants. The room we had was clean with nice bedding and towels available. Would recommend to stay here for a short stay in Paris.

It's hard to be upset with the price and location. There are so many young people who don't know how to respect each other and move with quietness. I didn't sleep at all in a room with 14 other people. Lights were terrible, no curtain for the top bunk. It was terrible but finally passed out the second night from exhaustion. I understand it's cheap and clean though so if you are a hard sleeper it's probably perfect. I wish that they would have at least a curtain or something for the lights. I even had an eye mask and 2 earplugs. Inside the ear and over the ear but one snorer can shake the whole bed. I obviously need a hotel and not a hostel so hard to blame the hostel for this.

Does the job

Positives: the staff - though not necessarily warm - are very comprehensive and helpful, and speak excellent english. I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom and the room was very clean and pleasantly decorated. And the location is great, walking distance to transport and Pigalle nightlife, yet felt safe.
Negatives: the shared toilet was not conveniently located, walking downstairs to a different level isn't pleasant. The hostel is very busy and the noise at night (even on a sunday) made it hard to get much sleep. Notably the sound of the elevator seemed to be constant!
