Initially directed to Avalon, I was relieved to find my booking at Avalon Cozy around the corner. The Cozy reception was far more inviting and tidy than Avalon’s. Check-in was smooth, though note there’s a local tax to pay on arrival.
Accessing the suite was exhausting. The lift was too small for two, so my partner took it with the suitcase, and I climbed six steep flights of stairs. Once inside, the room was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. The bed was spotless, and though I worried about Paris's bed bug reputation, everything seemed new and hygienic.
The "bathroom" had a deep, relaxing tub but an awkward shower setup. The angled ceiling made standing difficult, and water splashed everywhere due to the lack of a splash guard. Storage space was minimal, with a small hanging pole, a few shelves, and a suitcase stand. The tiny desk and sink offered limited space, which felt impractical for organizing belongings or toiletries.
The area around the hotel felt a little rough, but it wasn’t a major concern for us. While the room’s cleanliness and decor impressed me, the limited storage, shower issues, and difficult access detracted from the experience.
