Lovely peaceful setting
Posted 29 Jul 2024 on HotelsVery peaceful location in a small village. Lovely garden and views from the room I was in. Catherine was a fantastic host. Very friendly and informative. Breakfast was lovely with great coffee. Internet connection was full fibre 500mb+. Room and ensuite bathroom were spotless. Use of a small fridge was useful.

How fortunate we felt having booked L'Estancat during our trip to Pau. A delightful old farmhouse set in a small farming community in the most beautiful countryside with a view of the snowcapped mountains and the sound of songbirds. We were greeted by the proprietor and made welcome from the start and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast having enjoyed a peaceful comfortable nights sleep in our bedroom containing a small but perfectly serviceable bathroom. Having spent many a night in B&Bs in London, Spain and France this was undoubtably the best of all those experiences because of the location, environment, breakfast and being made to feel so completely welcome.

We had a wonderful experience here. The hostess was very charming and made us feel as if this were our home. She gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants. We had unforgettable breakfasts in the garden with the sweet dog. Our children played in the large garden with the Pyrenees in the background as we enjoyed a moment of leisure. Our room was beautiful and it was a pleasure to be there. We can't wait to return!

Nouscgarderons un très bon souvenir de notre passage. Encore merci pour le déplacement fortuit. Belle surprise cette dépendance.
Jardin avec vue sur les montagnes. Fabuleux surtout le matin avec le café 😉.
Très très calme.
